With the TT5, clearaudio makes tangential technology accessible to vinyl fans with a keen eye on their finances. Its almost legendary price-performance ratio is due to the omission of one or two comfort features found in its "bigger" siblings. However, everything sound-relevant in clearaudio's smallest tangential tonearm still represents exceptional precision engineering. Here too, the carriage moves almost frictionlessly, pulled solely by the stylus, tracking inwards along the ideal analog line without tracking error, just as it was dictated during cutting. High-precision V4 steel ball bearings run without any lubricant or external drive on a meticulously polished glass tube.

The TT5 can be mounted on most common turntables without much effort – clearaudio turntables harmonize perfectly with it. VTA, azimuth, and tracking force can, of course, be perfectly adjusted to the chosen cartridge. The TT5's forte is the accuracy with which it helps good cartridges, regardless of price range, achieve an extremely clean, distortion-free sound image.

For those who miss the folding mechanism of the TT2 or TT3 and thus the completely free access to the record, clearaudio's specially developed "swing base" is the ideal addition to the TT5. However, even on its own, it masterfully embodies the high art of tangential tracking.

The specialist magazine AUDIO counted it "among the analog highlights of the HiFi year 2015". The TT5 will surely remain so in the coming years.
