The Canton Vento 101 is a floorstanding loudspeaker from the Vento series, designed for high-quality hi-fi and home cinema systems. It combines a 3-way bass reflex principle with elaborate cabinet construction to ensure music, voices, and film sound are reproduced clearly separated and spatially comprehensible.

3-Way Bass Reflex for Clearly Separated Sound Ranges

The 3-way design assigns treble, midrange, and bass to their own drivers. Crossover frequencies at 200 and 3,000 Hz define when the respective ranges are taken over, allowing voices, instruments, and bass components to be processed specifically.

The bass reflex system fires downwards. In the low-frequency range, it supports controlled pressure and a clean bass structure, which is particularly relevant for music with deep frequencies and home cinema content.

BCT Tweeter for Fine High Frequencies

The 25mm BCT tweeter handles high frequencies. This specifically reproduces fine sound components such as vocal overtones, cymbals, or strings in the high-frequency range.

The Transmission Front Plate and the specially developed waveguide in the tweeter area support controlled and even dispersion. This helps perceive details not just at a single point, but more uniformly throughout the listening area.

ATB Midrange and Woofers for Voices, Instruments, and Bass

The W180 ATB midrange driver handles the middle frequency range. Many voices and instruments lie within this range, making clean processing especially important here for intelligibility and naturalness.

The two W200 ATB woofers operate in the bass range. Together with the bass reflex tuning, they provide the foundation for deep frequencies with structure, without the bass being perceived merely as pressure.

Cabinet Construction with Curved MDF Structure

The Vento series uses multi-layered MDF structures in a curved shape. This construction minimizes unwanted resonances and supports clean sound development.

A chamber system separates individual frequency ranges from each other. Internal damping controls reflections within the cabinet, which can make the reproduction appear more precise and tidy.

Features for Flexible Integration

The Canton Vento 101 has a bi-wiring or bi-amping terminal and is suitable for banana plugs. A device plinth is included, and preparations for absorbers are also provided.

With dimensions of 32 × 110 × 51 cm, the Vento 101 is designed as a floorstanding loudspeaker for permanent hi-fi or home cinema setups in the living room.
