ARMODYNAMIC™ Driver with ZYLON™

At the heart of the YH-C3000 is the newly developed ARMODYNAMIC™ driver. The diaphragm consists of a three-layer composite structure with paper, resin, and the high-performance ZYLON™ fiber – the same material used in Yamaha's flagship Hi-Fi speakers. This results in exceptionally high resolution, fast response, and a smooth, natural sound across the entire frequency range.

Precise Driver Unit for Maximum Clarity

The driver unit has been completely tuned to the new diaphragm. Sophisticated rear ventilation and a patented Y-shaped, reinforced mesh damper ensure minimal distortion and consistent volume in the bass range. A pure iron pole piece optimizes the driving force of the magnetic system and supports the impressively fast, powerful reproduction – especially with transients and dynamic peaks.

Handcrafted Beechwood Housing

The housing of the YH-C3000 is made from high-quality beechwood, also used in Yamaha grand pianos. Beech is lightweight, very stable, and has excellent resonance properties. This construction supports the driver and gives the sound natural, harmonious resonances.

Japanese Craftsmanship & Manufacturing Quality

The YH-C3000 is manufactured in a Yamaha factory in Japan, where flagship grand pianos and high-end audio components are also produced. Every component – from the wooden housing to the driver to the pads – is processed with high precision and assembled under strict quality standards. This results in headphones that impress not only acoustically but also haptically and visually.

Comfort and Fit

At approximately 330 g (without cable), the YH-C3000 is lightweight and optimized for long listening sessions. A stepless slider allows for fine length adjustment, so you can find the perfect personal fit. The closed housing works with a tilting swivel mechanism that optimally adapts the earcups to the ear and head. This minimizes air leakage, keeps the bass rich and controlled, and ensures the headphones sit stably without pressure.
