This makes the Smart Townus 2 compact loudspeakers the

The
fully active Smart Townus 2 are equipped with powerful amplifiers that
provide each loudspeaker with 350 watts of power. This means no
external power amplifiers or speaker cables are needed. Simply
set them up in the desired location, connect the power cable and player, and
you're ready to enjoy great sound in your home.
The wireless
signal transmission with 24-bit signal processing between the speakers
ensures the highest quality music reproduction.
The Smart Townus 2 makes it easy for you: you can connect
whatever your hi-fi heart desires to the numerous inputs.
Analog connections in high-quality XLR and RCA versions are
available, as well as digital variants in optical and coaxial
designs.
A USB input with XMOS enables connection to computers, and
of course, the Smart Townus 2 can stream music wirelessly via
Bluetooth with aptX in the best quality.
Thanks to the smart features of the Smart Townus
2, you can expand the compact speakers with additional Smart speakers from
Canton – for example, with the Smart Townus 8 floorstanding speaker.
This
allows you to build a powerful home cinema system in single-room operation, or you can
integrate your Smart Townus 2 as an excellent-sounding member into a
multi-room system.

You can use the Smart Townus 2, in a classic way, as stereo loudspeakers and combine them as you wish with other loudspeakers from the Canton Smart family. This quickly creates a 4.0 home cinema system that requires no cabling. The center channel is virtually generated, with precise dialogue reproduction and excellent speech intelligibility from the mids. Canton's stiff titanium double-cone membranes not only ensure a tidy appearance, but they also guarantee dynamic bass reproduction with the highest precision and best timing. With the Smart Connect 5.1, you can expand your system almost infinitely: Make your Smart Townus 2 the main loudspeaker of a multi-channel surround system and supplement it with additional loudspeakers from Canton's Smart series. This way, you can gradually expand your personal home cinema up to a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos configuration – for impressive cinematic sound from all directions.
