Review: Fidelity x DALI Day 2026 – from SONIK to DALI KORE

On May 8, 2026, DALI was the focus of attention all day long at our Rellingen store. For the Fidelity x DALI Day, we equipped several of our listening studios with different DALI series and suitable electronic combinations – from the new SONIK series to the DALI KORE.

In addition, there were three moderated KORE listening sessions, guests from DALI and in-akustik, and of course plenty of time to listen to music, compare systems, and engage in conversation.

DALI in our listening studios

Anyone who walked through our exhibition on this day could listen their way through various DALI series step by step.

In Studio 1, the DALI SONIK 3 and SONIK 7 played on the Cambridge Audio Black Edition.

In Studio 2, we had prepared two RUBIKORE setups: The DALI RUBIKORE 6 played on the NAD M33 V2, the RUBIKORE 8 on the MOON 371.

Another class higher, Studio 5 continued. Here we combined the DALI EPIKORE 3 with a McIntosh MA252 AC. The larger EPIKORE 7 played on a NAD M66 V2 with no less than four NAD M23 power amplifiers in mono bi-amping mode.

This allowed our visitors not only to get to know the different DALI series side by side, but also to experience how differently the speakers can be combined with different electronics concepts.

The highlight of the day: DALI KORE on Hegel

In the high-end studio, the big highlight finally awaited: the DALI KORE.

For the demonstration, we set up the KORE with a correspondingly elaborate Hegel combination. The Hegel P30A was used as a preamplifier. Power was provided by two Hegel H30A, each bridged in mono mode driving one speaker.

Throughout the day, three moderated listening sessions took place at 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00 p.m. Approximately 20 guests could participate per session, so a total of about 60 visitors could experience the DALI KORE in a detailed demonstration.

The free spots were fully booked within a few days.

DALI experts from Germany and Denmark on site

We received direct support from the brands involved.

From DALI, Simon Carstens from German distribution and Thomas Petersen, Product Specialist from Denmark, were with us. Additionally, Kambiz Hashemi from in-akustik joined us.

Together, they led the KORE sessions, presented selected musical pieces, and gave our guests insights into the technology, development, and ideas behind the loudspeaker.

Thus, the demonstrations were not only about listening to an extraordinary system, but also about learning more about how a loudspeaker like the DALI KORE is created and what matters in a system of this class.

A KORE listening session live streamed

One of the three sessions was additionally broadcast live.

This way, everyone who couldn't get one of the limited spots or couldn't come to Rellingen on that day could also participate.

Of course, the sound of a DALI KORE cannot be transported via a live stream. However, we were able to share the presentation, the technical background, and the atmosphere of the listening session with significantly more people than just the guests in the room.

And of course, there was even more to discover

Beyond the rooms specially set up for DALI Day, our entire exhibition was also open to our visitors.

Those who wanted to listen further after SONIK, RUBIKORE, EPIKORE, and KORE could also view and listen to the many other loudspeakers, amplifiers, streamers, and systems in our listening studios.

Another destination for many visitors was our reference cinema. There, they could experience our large home cinema with Ascendo loudspeakers and a Lyngdorf AV processor and, after listening to HiFi, immerse themselves in a completely different world of music and film sound reproduction.

Thank you for a great DALI Day

In the end, it was exactly the mix we had wished for the day: special systems, lots of music, exciting conversations, and enough time to leisurely listen through our studios.

Many thanks to everyone who visited us in Rellingen or followed the KORE session live stream. A big thank you also goes to DALI and in-akustik as well as to Simon Carstens, Thomas Petersen, and Kambiz Hashemi for their support on site.

We are already looking forward to our next event.
